What is community reintegration in traumatic brain injury?

The majority of studies have found no significant determinants of community integration after traumatic brain injury. The largest sample size was one year, with two studies using retrospective designs and a third using a prospective design. The other two were very small and have insufficient data to draw reliable conclusions. 

There is a need to study the long-term outcome of this process, as the outcome does not stabilize at a year after the initial injury. Despite this problem, the results of the studies are promising.

The aim of this study is to identify predictors of community integration in people who have suffered from TBI. The TBI Resource Center provides various services, including advocacy, benefit education, and housing referrals.
